According to the 2026 standardization work plan of the China City Gas Association, the association’s group standards—“Technical Requirements for Urban Gas IoT Systems—Part 2: Pipelines and Pressure Regulating Facilities,” “Technical Specification for Defect Repair of Urban Gas Steel Pipelines,” “Code for Assessment and Protection Against Stray Current Interference on Buried Steel Gas Pipelines from Rail Transit,” and “Externally Powered Smart Gas Meters”—have completed their draft-for-comment versions and are now being made publicly available online for public consultation. The respective lead drafting units are PetroChina Kunlun Gas Co., Ltd., Tongji University, and Chongqing Qianwei Meter Industry Co., Ltd. All relevant organizations and experts in the industry are invited to conduct a comprehensive and detailed review of the content of the draft-for-comment documents (Attachments 1, 2, 3, and 4), submit specific comments or suggestions for revision, and complete the feedback forms for征求意见 (Attachments 5, 6, 7, and 8). Please return the feedback forms to the lead drafting units by email or mail no later than July 15, 2026.
