Founded in 1992, Urban Gas is directed and sponsored by the China Gas Association. It is a comprehensive guiding academic journal for the gas industry and the official journal of the China Gas Association. It is a selected journal of China’s Excellence Action Plan for STM Journals (Phase II), a selected journal of China Applied Core Journals (Extended), and a source journal of the Chinese Core Journal (Selection) Database.
The core content of Urban Gas is as follows: in-depth interpretation of national energy strategies, development guidelines, and laws and regulations of the gas industry; conveyance of the work deployment of the China Gas Association; release of cutting-edge technologies and market information of the gas industry in various regions; exchange of experiences in gas engineering design, construction, acceptance, and operation and maintenance, as well as research and development achievements and practical applications of new technologies; analysis of new business management ideas for gas industry reform and business format innovation; discussion of typical cases and experiences in gas safety management, hidden danger investigation, emergency response, and risk control management; focus on the innovative implementation of digital and intelligent technologies in scenarios such as safety, operation and maintenance, and services; exploration of technological pathways and development models for energy conservation, carbon reduction, and green transition in the gas industry under the “carbon peaking and carbon neutrality” goal; close linkage with the construction of “good houses” to promote the innovation and implementation of safe, comfortable, green, and smart “good gas”. The content of Urban Gas precisely focuses on the development needs of the entire industry chain of the gas industry, possessing both academic value and practical guiding significance, and comprehensively covering core areas such as technology, management, innovation, compliance, and transformation in the gas industry.
