This paper, starting from the common technical and managerial issues encountered in gas safety inspections, takes the rule of law and national policies as its guiding principles. Drawing on the practical experience of a northern Chinese city, it systematically summarizes several problems that are often confused or misunderstood, and analyzes and studies the criteria for identifying hazards during gas safety inspections. The aim is to enhance the standardization of gas safety inspection work, eliminate ambiguities in hazard identification, align understanding, and raise awareness, thereby providing a reference for conducting gas safety inspections and hazard remediation in a lawful, efficient, and rigorous manner. Additionally, the paper examines specific challenges faced in gas safety inspections, proposes a comprehensive approach that considers the scope of application, implementation time, and hierarchical authority of relevant documents, and offers measures and recommendations to further standardize gas safety inspection practices.
