This paper focused on the typical sensing technologies for residential combustible gas detectors, and compared and analyzed the technical characteristics and scenario application adaptability of four types of sensors, namely catalytic combustion, semiconductor, and optical (laser and non-dispersive infrared) sensors. Combined with the environmental characteristics of Chinese residential kitchens, this paper further explored the technical optimization direction of optical sensors, and proposed the selection strategies of sensors for three types of typical scenarios respectively. This provides a technical reference for the precise adaptation and efficient application of residential combustible gas detectors.
