In light of the current status of aging equipment at gas plants and stations in Guangdong Province, this paper identifies key potential hazards associated with such equipment. Drawing on the characteristics of equipment management and cutting-edge technologies, it proposes preventive maintenance strategies for aging assets and outlines critical considerations for the retrofitting of equipment deemed no longer economically viable to repair. These measures aim to reduce the likelihood of failures, mitigate the risks of associated accidents, enhance the reliability and safety of aging equipment, and ensure the safe and stable operation of gas plants and stations.
